Yikes!

I'm terrible at math so I won't try and count how many days since my last post. I am alive and I have absolutely no excuse for being gone so long. Wish I could say I've been riding too much to write but my Mama told me not to lie. So wish me luck and hopefully this will become more routine. 

On to more important issues. It's May and it's Giro time. Time for pink. Time for pasta. Time for wine. Time to ride. I believe this year's going to be pretty damn good. You got Wiggo, Gesink, Ryder, and Nibbles. Now, I want to go with Nibali but I'm afraid it's not going to be any of the ones I just mentioned. I just wrote all those names for nothing. Another reason I'm kind of excited this year is because the US now has Giro coverage thanks to beIn sports. (I was kind of worried there for while, no carrier was going to carry it in the US) I do enjoy watching Eurosport and Gazetta's coverage on the lil 'ol computer but it's nice to have it reordered and waiting for you when you come home to eat lunch.

I may be a little late to this party and I feel like an idiot but I didn't realize @cosmocatalano from Instagram was the brilliant man behind these awesome videos. Got to thank Bianchista for putting one of his videos on her blog. I now have some serious catching up to do, and I suggest you do the same too. 

Infiltrating interbike 2012

I have returned from Vegas unscathed, although as you can see from this picture I may have contracted the Herp. Dirty cyclists, I made the mistake of putting my lips to the real 2009 Giro trophy. So far so good though, my lips are clean. So interbike was big and new stuff was spilling out into the aisles, it can get a bit overwhelming. So many things to see and people to talk to, you definitely need to spend the whole week here, not just one day. Here's a small sample of pics for your enjoyment:

they're cool though, and shiny.
If I had to get a pair I'd get

the white so I could look like a speedy nurse.

At the moment it was cool and that's what matters.

Even the stainless steel cages are light and airy.
I just bought 2 stainless steel ones for my Soma.
And when I'm a good enough girl and get my Moots
 I'll outfit it with the titanium cages.

Giro Countdown

It's May, time for the Giro. I'm celebrating by putting on pink brake hoods, but they're only staying on there for the month. I don't want to be one of THOSE women. Besides, I don't think they're going to look to hot, photos to come.

Another big thing for the month of May is the opening of the Rapha Cycle Club in San Fransisco. There has never been a better excuse to head North than to visit my wallet's mortal enemy- Rapha. Love them.

Speaking of the Giro and Italy, I just discovered Capo's new Spring/Summer line up. And looky what I found- a celeste colored kit. I need a new swimsuit but this kit takes precedence over that for sure.
